Africa is one of the most magnificent and magical places in the world, yet, we’ve all been purveyors of its shaming; its dis-robing and stripping of dignity.
Not on purpose, but by neglecting to sing of its glory, we give those that portray Africa only in a negative light, permission to character-assassinate this beautiful continent and perpetuate the untrue image of Africa.
Africa is filled with beautiful people with heart-warming smiles, captivating stories and deep cultures.
I am dedicating this section of my blog to awarding Africa its rightful glory.
I will be sharing uplifting or record-setting stories from Africa, images of places, people, food etc.
Africa let us stand tall because our land is filled with abundance.
Africa, let’s have compassion for historical injustices perpetrated against us and let us choose a different more uplifting narrative.
I lived overseas for many years and yes, I dreamed of Africa a lot, but I did not actively feel innately proud of being African.
